Cream Tea is a traditional British light meal taken in the afternoon. It comprises of tea, with a combination of scones, clotted cream and jams. Traditionally it is said Cream Tea comes from Devon and Cornwall but is enjoyed all over Britain.
Everyone has their preference, some say one scone is traditional whereas others say 2 scones is just the right amount. When it comes to the jam, some are very particular on the type of jam that should be used. Strawberry jam is the traditional jam used in Cream Tea. But we say you can have whatever jam you like! Be adventurous!
We have organised an afternoon of Cream Tea for Wednesday 19th August here at BOPH!
Celebrating 20 Years of BOPH
